IPTV on Formuler Boxes With MYTVOnline

Formuler boxes are Android-based set-top boxes built specifically for IPTV. Their main attraction is MYTVOnline, Formuler's own IPTV app, which is designed around a TV remote and includes a programme guide, catch-up and recording. If you want something that feels like a traditional TV box but runs IPTV, a Formuler is one of the most straightforward options.

Why Formuler Boxes Are Popular for IPTV

Formuler boxes, such as the Z11 and Z10 series, combine an Android operating system with an IPTV app built by the manufacturer. That means the app is designed for the hardware, the remote has dedicated TV buttons, and you still have access to Google Play for other apps. Most models have Ethernet, and the newer ones support 4K and HEVC.

What MYTVOnline Is

MYTVOnline is Formuler's IPTV player, pre-installed on its boxes. Current versions are often referred to as MYTVOnline 2 and MYTVOnline 3, depending on the box. It supports several connection types — Xtream Codes, portal (MAC-based) and M3U playlists — and shows live TV, a guide, films, series and catch-up in one interface.

Adding an Xtream Codes Connection

• Open MYTVOnline and go to the option to add a new portal or connection
• Choose the Xtream Codes (sometimes labelled 'XC' or 'Xtream') connection type
• Enter a name, the server URL including http:// and the port, then your username and password
• Save and connect; the channel list, guide and on-demand sections download
• If you have more than one connection, set your main one as the default

Adding a Portal Connection

Some providers use portal connections instead, which work like a MAG box: the provider registers your box's MAC address and gives you a portal URL. MYTVOnline displays the MAC address to register — send it to your provider exactly as shown, then add the portal URL as a new connection. Setting Up the Guide and Catch-Up

With Xtream Codes or a portal connection, the guide normally loads automatically. If it's empty, refresh the EPG in MYTVOnline's settings. Channels with catch-up are usually marked in the guide; select a past programme to play it. Catch-up only works on channels your provider archives, for the number of days they keep. Recording on a Formuler Box

MYTVOnline can record programmes to a USB drive or other connected storage on supported models. Plug in a drive with enough free space, choose it as the recording location in the app's settings, then record from the guide or while watching.
